Yoga to Relax & Renew at Autumn Equinox – Sep 29th 2.30-4.30pm

By September 8, 2019October 28th, 2020No Comments

At this point of balance where day & night are of equal length, it’s an auspicous time to take time out for yourself, for deep rest.  This 2 hour workshop is an opportunity to carve out some quality time for YOU, with no distractions. A practice to bring awareness to body and breath, to unplug from the distractions and stimulation of everyday life.
*In this workshop we will:

*Practice deep relaxation

*Reset the nervous system

*Release muscular tension

*Become more mindful

*Learn to breath deeply for full health

*Tune into out bodies inate wisdom

This workshop combines the most relaxing three practices within Yoga: Yin Yoga , Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. One practice flows into the other and the design and intention of the practice is to uplift and bring about a sense of peace and wellness in body, mind and spirit. These are all different practices but each in their own way help us to experience letting go, of tension, pain/ trauma and foster a meditative state. When we combine these practices together, well, let’s just say relaxation is pretty much guaranteed, and the feeling remains long after you leave the mat.

Physiologically this type of practice takes us out of sympathetic nervous system dominance (stress) into parasympathetic dominance (rest and digest), unless we do something to make this switch on a regular basis, we can easily become overwhelmed and exhausted. You will be carefully guided through deep slow stretching and breathing and gently encouraged to release stress on all level. In a nutshell, a practice to recharge your batteries!

Cost: €25

Venue: Seomra Shakti Yoga Studio, 19 Zone C, Mullingar Business Park, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, N91 N128

A 2 hour Yoga practice can be a great introduction if you are a beginner OR a chance to deepen the practice if you already attend classes.
