Become Present – Yoga for Grounding -1-3pm, Sunday October 21st 2018

By September 26, 2018October 28th, 2020No Comments

The theme of this yoga practice is to bring us into the present moment.  Often we live very much in our minds, spending vast amounts of time  planning ahead or thinking back, this yoga practice can help us become more at peace by relaxing in to the here and now, otherwise we often miss the beauty in the present moment.  From an Ayurvedic medicine perspective this practice works with grounding the Vata energy,  and Autumn being Vata season is the time of year that we most need to do this!

Through a combination of Yoga and Meditation practices, we will be influencing the  energy of the root chakra,  bringing our attention from the mind into the rest of our body.   When we are paying attention to the body the mind can begin to come into rest.

When we are not grounded we can become anxious, unsure, and exhausted.   This practice is an opportunity to ground ourselves, physically, mentally and emotionally.  It will include yoga, pranayama and end with restorative yoga, all designed to give you tool’s to  feel more cantered, present and relaxed.

Cost: €25

A 2 hour Yoga practice can be a great introduction if you are a beginner OR a chance to deepen the practice if you already attend classes.
