Rest and Restore at Imbolc ~ Welcoming Spring, Fri 3rd February 6.30-8pm.

Imbolc in the Celtic wheel of the year marks the beginnings of Spring, a time filled with promise and possibility. Just as the life force begins to reawaken in nature, the same life force or prana begins to reawaken within us to manifest our ideas and intentions. This workshop is time out to connect to ourselves and this life force and creative energy that begins to stir at this time. An opportunity to come into stillness, to rest, rejuvenate and gently open and release deep held tension that can gather in the winter months, from body and mind.

Physiologically this type of practice takes us out of sympathetic nervous system dominance (stress) into parasympathetic dominance (rest and digest), unless we do something to make this switch on a regular basis, we easily become overwhelmed and exhausted!
We will enjoy a full restorative yoga practice by candlelight, where we have long holds in poses supported with bolsters and props to ensure total comfort and ease, wrapped in cosy blankets. The practice will end with a lovely yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep!

Cost: €20
