Chill Out with Yoga

TIME & DATE:  Friday 23rd August 6.45-8.45pm

VENUE: Phoenix Yoga Studio, 12b Mullingar Medical Park, Market Point, Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

A chilled evening practice to begin the weekend.  We will practice Yin Yoga for the first half. this is  a slow practice with poses being held slightly longer which allows for deep release from the muscles.  This also allows us to mentally change pace and connect with breath and body.  The second half will be Restorative Yoga, where we use bolsters, cushions, blankets and blocks to support the body in yoga poses, creating an opportunity to totally relax as no effort is used in these poses, the benefit is that that tension, pain and stiffness dissipates once we create these conditions. Additionally stress hormones reduce as the nervous system switches from its alert state (sympathetic) to its relaxed state (parasympathetic). In short, you should leave feeling rested and relaxed and ready to enjoy your weekend!


Cost: €20

A 2 hour Yoga practice can be a great introduction if you are a beginner OR a chance to deepen the practice if you already attend classes.
