Fri 8th March
7:30 – 8.15 Introduction: The Wisdom of Menopause

Bach Flower Remedies: An introduction to these helpful flower essences and a chance to make your own personalised remedy to take home with you.

8.15 – 9.15 First Yoga Practice: Our first yoga practice of the retreat will focus on Restorative Yoga poses to help calm the mind, cool the body and promote a better night’s sleep.

Saturday 9th March
10.30 – 11.30 Morning Yoga Practice: Build a home yoga practice that will help you stay balanced through all stages of menopause. This sequence of poses helps you to build muscle and bone strength, as well as easing many common menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes, mood swings and fatigue.

12.00pm-3.00pm Nutrition Talk, Food Demonstration & Tasting, Herbal Remedies for Menopause

Discover the links between food and hormone balance during menopause; learn how to make quick and simple snacks, and treats that are packed with nutrition, antioxidants and important phyto oestrogens. You will have an opportunity to sample these foods and learn more about their importance. We will talk about herbal remedies and essential oils to prevent, treat and relieve menopausal symptoms. There will be time to ask questions and advice.

3.00 – 4.00 Final Yoga practice – Breath, Mindfulness and Meditation: For this final yoga practice, we will explore the benefits of yoga breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation and how they can help you feel more focused, calm and centred – throughout menopause and beyond!
